Valve grinding is an important aspect of plant maintenance. Downtime on account of defective valve costs a lot. This unique MEKGRIND Valve Seat Grinding Machine cuts down valve grinding time by as much as 90% when compared to other conventional methods. The added advantage is improved quality of grinding. The most important aspect of MEKGRIND is the unique design of the holding plate which houses a number of bearing mounted grinding heads fitted with self-adhesive grinding discs. During the rotation of the holding plate, the heads rotate in the opposite direction to plate direction, thereby providing dual action of grinding and polishing.

Grinding paper also gets finer during operation giving a fine polish in the end of the operation.
