With Machine Oil as lubricant & lubricant & Torque Loading to 70% of the yield strength/stress at permanent set limit (for Property Class 9.8 & Higher) as specified in IS 1367 (Part 3-1979)
Nut Across flat as per IS 95 19-1980 Except for M 10, 12, 14, 22 (Pre Revised Sizes)
Above figures are for guidance only as torque depends upon number of other variables e.g. Thread/Nut face finish, Plating on threads, Rust, Oxidation, Thread Class etc.
Above Tables is for Stiff Metal to Metal Joint.

Always select the correct size socket for the fastener
Periodically inspect the moving parts for any sign or wear of damage.
Always set the torque wrench to the bottom of the scale when not in use.
When setting, approach from the low side. Follow recommended setting pattern on cylinder heads.
Pull squarely from the center of the handle (this does not affect the accuracy of Mekaster torque wrenches unlike other models) but it is important for leverage and comfort.
